About Rachel
Traditional techniques with modern creativity.
Rachel is a scenic artist based in Springdale, Arkansas.
She took up her current role as Scenic Charge Artist for TheatreSquared after receiving her BFA from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a concentration in Scenic Art.
She excels in creativity, bringing to life the vision and daring of designers with every show and project.
As Scenic Charge Artist, she paints theatrical backdrops and sets using a combination of techniques including faux finishes, trompe l’oeil, and three dimensional textures designed to immerse the audience in the story being told. Additionally, Rachel enjoys completing commissions and is known for her work painting backdrops used in professional theaters.
She has also recently begun selling her work. Please look into the “Texture Painting” section of the website to see her current work.
When she’s not painting a drop or completing another project, she can often be found on an adventure with her dog Merlin.
